This Saturday, April 21, Tyler Chin-Tanner will be speaking at a panel for the Rebooting Democracy Festival in Portland, OR. The title of the panel is “Drawing Attention” and it will take place at the BackSpace cafe at 2:30. Here’s the write up for it.

Drawing Attention: Politics & Comics

Politics and comics go way back, and the rich relationship continues to this day. Learn how this art form has played an active role in political causes and moments from the 1800s to today with historian Gus Frederick, author of Oregon History Comics, Sarah Mirk, Floating World Comics owner Jason Leivian and local comic book artists Tyler Chin-Tanner and Breena Wiederhoeft. American Terrorist graphic novel available.

The new print run of the American Terrorist graphic novel is now available. These latest copies were done as an off-set print run and the quality is really high.The pages are nice, the binding is really sturdy. It looks great on a bookshelf andI would know because I have quite a few on my bookshelf right now.

The graphic novel is available at the AWBW Store on this site, or you can ask your local comic shop to order it from Liber Distribution. You can also try Amazon.com but they haven’t been very good at keeping it in stock.

And it’s still available digitally through Graphicly, comiXology, DriveThruComics and Wowio .

The full-color American Terrorist graphic novel is now available through Graphicly. It can be read with their online reader or through their apps.

They also have a free preview of it, containing the first 24 pages.

The Full Color version of the American Terrorist graphic novel is now available for download at DriveThruComics. They are the first digital provider to make the full GN available. More to come soon.

And don’t forget, print copies of the Black & White edition are still available in the AWBW store.

American Terrorist is out!

I had a blast at NYCC and sold a lot of copies of the American Terrorist graphic novel. It exceeded my expectations and it really meant a lot to me to see so many people respond to the book and have the message resonate so strongly.

Here’s a photo of the fam at the booth.

One of the coolest results from the show was having someone well connected to the Occupy Wall Street movement pick up a copy. I gave her an extra copy to donate a copy to the OWS public library. Here’s a photo of her dropping it off.

I’ve also gotten some good reviews. Jazma online gave it 5 out of 5 stars and Hollywood Soapbox named it the most promising graphic novel debut of NYCC.

I’ve still have some print copies of the black & white version in the AWBW store. And the full-color version is available digitally! DriveThruComics already has it up and there’ll be more digital providers making it available soon.

New York Comic Con is Here!

Today starts the first day of NYCC and the copies of the American Terrorist graphic novel are in and ready to be sold at the show. Here’s a closer look at the book.

And then here’s a shot of the merchandise I’ll be selling at NYCC. We’ve got the graphic novel, so large size prints, I still have a few copies of the sketchbook left. And I’ve picked up my exhibitor badges so I’m ready to go.

Don’t forget, anyone not able to make the show who wants a copy of the graphic novel can order it from the AWBW Store.

Life Imitates Art

Things have been kind of hectic around here with the release at NYCC next week. I’m going to direct you to my column this week at Broken Frontier where I compare images from Occupy Wall Street protest with images from the American Terrorist graphic novel.

Also, digital issue #7 is ready. It still doesn’t have a cover (and probably won’t until after NYCC) but it is there so you, my faithful blog followers, can finish reading the story.
