I had a blast at NYCC and sold a lot of copies of the American Terrorist graphic novel. It exceeded my expectations and it really meant a lot to me to see so many people respond to the book and have the message resonate so strongly.

One of the coolest results from the show was having someone well connected to the Occupy Wall Street movement pick up a copy. I gave her an extra copy to donate a copy to the OWS public library. Here’s a photo of her dropping it off.

I’ve also gotten some good reviews. Jazma online gave it 5 out of 5 stars and Hollywood Soapbox named it the most promising graphic novel debut of NYCC.

I’ve still have some print copies of the black & white version in the AWBW store. And the full-color version is available digitally!  DriveThruComics already has it up and there’ll be more digital providers making it available soon.

Today starts the first day of NYCC and the copies of the American Terrorist graphic novel are in and ready to be sold at the show. Here’s a closer look at the book.

And then here’s a shot of the merchandise I’ll be selling at NYCC. We’ve got the graphic novel, so large size prints, I still have a few copies of the sketchbook left. And I’ve picked up my exhibitor badges so I’m ready to go.

Things have been kind of hectic around here with the release at NYCC next week. I’m going to direct you to my column this week at Broken Frontier where I compare images from Occupy Wall Street protest with images from the American Terrorist graphic novel.

Also, digital issue #7 is ready. It still doesn’t have  a cover (and probably won’t until after NYCC) but it is there so you, my faithful blog followers, can finish reading the story.

There are only 2 short weeks left until the release of the American Terrorist graphic novel at NYCC 2011! But one of the things I’ve been working on this past week is to help include the many people who won’t be able to make it to NYCC by updating the AWBW store. It’s now up and running with copies of the American Terrorist graphic novel ready for pre-order. It may not look really pretty right now, but it works and I’ll get the books out for any orders I receive before the convention, meaning that anyone ordering the book within the U.S. will get there copies about the same time as those going to the show. Sorry international orders, not much I can do there.

Also, I haven’t been able to get the cover done for the digital edition #6 so I thought I’d just post it without the cover. I’ll get to that cover soon, things have just been crazy lately getting ready for the release and convention and making sure I’m doing everything I can to promote it.
